TEACHER’S DIARY
A. Lesson Aim - To study on purpose of faith and work of faith.
B. Teaching Objectives and Lesson Plan
At the end of the lesson, students should be able to discover the purpose of their faith and what their faith can achieve for them. To achieve these objectives, teacher explains both purpose and work of faith to students. Teacher concludes by encouraging students to put their faith into action for result.

C. Text Review - James 2:14-20 Today's text explains the relationship between work and faith. Hence, we have "workless faith," "faithless work" and faithful work.
"Faithless works" are the works of sins. They do not produce salvation. They do not lead to God or Heaven. They are dead in themselves.
"Workless Faith" is similar to "faithless work" because they are faith without action. They are faith on the lips and dead in themselves. On the contrary, however, the third category of faith and work relationship is faithful work. This is faith that is full of work. This faith is committed and it is sacrificial, hence it produces results. This third category of faith is the
    Lord's desire for His children.
D. Teaching Method - Teacher should use lecture teaching method.
E. Time Management - 15 minutes for Opening, 30 minutes for Lesson Outline, Summary, Conclusion and Assignment, 15 minutes for General Review.

Believers’ are saved through a common faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 10:9. However, this is not the end of the matter. Jesus expects us to work with our faith to keep it alive or else, it becomes dead.
The following are some of those works we can do with our faith.
    i. Rise for the salvation of others through daily testimony of Christ. Titus 2: 11
ii. We can share food with the destitute and provide clothing for the naked (particularly believers.) James 2: 14-16.
iii. We can pray fervent prayer of faith for the sick, destitute government, nation and Church of God universal. James 5: 14-19; I Tim. 2: 1-5
iv. We can respond to ministerial calling such as Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher. Eph. 4: 11
